North Coast & Northern Rivers rural finance.

The North Coast and Northern Rivers region runs from the Clarence River valley at Grafton north to the Queensland border. Beef cattle are the dominant enterprise by land area, with large herds across the Casino, Kyogle, and upper Clarence districts. Dairy is significant in the Lismore and Bangalow areas. Sugar cane is grown along the coastal strips. Intensive horticulture — macadamia nuts, blueberries, avocados, bananas — is increasingly significant from Ballina north to Murwillumbah. The region's high rainfall and fertile country attract premium land values relative to other NSW beef regions.
